What ratio would you start with for a 4-inch wheel?

We’re rebuilding our drivetrain before our first scrimmage. The robot is about 13 lb and our current setup feels quick on tile but loses a lot of speed on carpet. For teams using 4-inch wheels, what gear ratio gave you a useful balance of speed and pushing power? I’d love to hear what you tested and what you’d change.
